Millenials and "Minternships"

A recent blog post over at Thinkwhy.com (https://thinkwhy.com/news-detail/millennials-marching-out-of-work-seeking-minternships) mentions that many young professionals in the Millennial generation are longing for a greater sense of purpose than what mere profits and materialism can deliver. They are actually leaving high paying jobs to seek employment with a purpose, and that can mean significant cuts to their income.
These young men and women understand what we at DMS embrace: passion and purpose are the forces that create great people, teams and companies that will transform the world. We don’t simply say this, we live it.
It begins by simply treating people the way they want to be treated. As a company, we celebrate our wins, we have fun at work, and we make a world-class product in the process. We simply love what we do, and we are thrilled when our customers, and the community at large benefit from our passion.
At DMS we are also grateful when we are able to give back, because at the end of the day, we, like so many Millennials, are seeking to make a positive impact in the world. We just want it to be better when we leave it, than it is today. Some of the many ways in which we do this are by awarding college scholarships to well-deserving sons and daughters of our employees, by sponsoring charitable organizations such as the Joe Kocur foundation, and by volunteering our time to groups like Life Remodeled to revitalize our community.
